EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONPat is a certified home inspector with the National
Association of Home Inspectors (NACHI). NACHI is the only industry association that requires testing prior to issuing
certification. Pat trained at Kaplan Colleges with ITA (Independent Training Associates) with a specific emphasis on
home inspections. Pat holds his bachelors degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
Joni assists Pat on most
inspections. Joni will schedule your inspection, arrange access to the property, and speak with the necessary parties
to make sure your inspection runs smoothly. Joni also handles most of the emails, so whether it’s by phone, email,
or assisting Pat at inspections, you’ll get to know her too. Joni holds a bachelors degree from Regis University
in Denver.
We built our first duplex in Frisco in 1984. Next we built the hand hewn log home that we live
in today. In the 90’s we began buying, selling, and managing mountain vacation properties. In the 2000’s
we started Independent Property Inspections, Inc. We understand that mountain homes are unique and know from experience
that a home inspection is a "must-do" before purchasing any home or condominium in our unique environment.

On a Personal Note…We have lived in the mountains of Colorado for nearly 30 years.
Our kids, ages 17 and 22, were born in Vail before Summit County even had a hospital! Whether it’s editing the
Summit Daily News monthly Rotary page or organizing the spring Ice Ball, Joni generously gives her time to the community.
Pat guides middle school kids down the river as part of their “On-the Right-Track” Program, flips pancakes at
breakfast fundraisers, and sells tickets at the annual BBQ in Dillon.
We have a vested interest in our community.
We know the weather, the skiing, the rafting, the hiking, the bike trails…and yes, we personally understand the relationship
between mountain real estate and home inspections.
